Welcome to the Pacific Islands - West NRCS Travel Section. For USDA-NRCS staff or visitor's traveling within the Pacific Islands - West, use of a US Passport (Personal or Official) is recommended for Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). A US Passport is required for travel to the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Republic of Palau or the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Infrequently inbound flights to Guam from Hawaii may be diverted, due to localized storm conditions, to alternate regional airports. These may be in a foreign country. Although it is not required to carry a US Passport for entry into Guam, it is HIGHLY recommended that all USDA travelers to the Pacific Islands - West carry either their Official USDA or personal US Passport.

If conducting official business in Palau or the FSM, special country clearance is needed. Please contact  Antonette (Anton) Tornito at Antonette.Tornito@pb.usda.gov to request assistance with processing country clearance for official visits to the FSM or Palau.
